Manganese blow bars

Manganese steel was first discovered in 1882 by Sir Robert Hadfield, being one of the first alloy steels developed.

Today this steel is generally used for the production of jaws, cones, liners and blow bars and hammers.

Manganese steel blow bars are generally used in primary crushing where they offer high shock resistance. Available in the version of 14%Mn, 18%Mn and 21% Mn, they are also suitable in those applications where the presence of metals in the feeding material is possible.

Although it represents a “safe” choice in operation, this material does not generate the best wear performance in abrasive working environments.
